{"id":65,"date":"2010-12-30T00:55:04","date_gmt":"2010-12-30T00:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\/blog\/?p=65"},"modified":"2011-02-07T18:58:29","modified_gmt":"2011-02-07T18:58:29","slug":"people-gain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\/blog\/people-gain\/","title":{"rendered":"Why Do People Gain All Their Weight Back After A Diet?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/EE-blog-photo-122910-gain-it-all-back.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-66\" src=\"http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/EE-blog-photo-122910-gain-it-all-back-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/EE-blog-photo-122910-gain-it-all-back-300x187.jpg 300w, http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/EE-blog-photo-122910-gain-it-all-back.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It isn\u2019t that difficult to lose weight on a diet.\u00a0 There are many diets that will produce a weight loss if followed rigorously.\u00a0 The problem, as people with an <a href=\"http:\/\/emotionaleatingreport.com\">emotional eating problem<\/a> know all too well, is that when you stop dieting, the weight usually comes back even faster than it left.<\/p>\n<p>Why? <strong>When you stop a diet\u2014which is eating food you normally wouldn\u2019t eat, in quantities you normally wouldn\u2019t eat\u2014you start eating the way you had before the diet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But there is another very important reason for gaining all the weight back.<\/p>\n<p>Many people who obsess about their weight believe that if only they could weigh what they wanted (which is much less than they currently weigh), their life would be perfect.\u00a0 In other words, they attribute most of what doesn\u2019t work in their life to their excess weight.<\/p>\n<p>After people get down to the weight they thought would make them happy and it doesn\u2019t, they would have to acknowledge that weight was not the real cause of their unhappiness, because they are still unhappy despite being at their \u201ctarget\u201d weight.
